Tech Industry in Schools – Toolkit
It’s exciting to work with school pupils! You’ll be bringing life to their learning by sharing your industry experience to the classroom. Skills Development Scotland have coordinated the development of this toolkit with a number of partners.
Digital Xtra Fund
We support grassroots computing activities which inspire young people to understand and create with digital technologies, not just how to use them. Opportunities to become a partner or give in-kind support.
Critical Friends Programme
We know a large part of the reason the skills gap in our industry exists is because of the drop of rates throughout school of young people taking the subject. Critical Friends aims to encourage and inspire young people to study computing science and pursue a career in tech while helping industry form relationships with secondary schools.

My World of Work Live
My World of Work Live is a set of fun, interactive exhibits and activities that inspire young people, helping them understand future careers and opportunities in Scotland’s key sectors – including STEM industries.
It is designed for young people between P5 and S6 and can be experienced through live events in schools and online through virtual sessions.
